The effect is nothing more than a plastic wrap filter over pencils... I had just inked five comics for my own site, six panels for a comic jam, and had this in my head but was sick of inking. I was playing with filters and I just liked where this ended up, even by accident.

Maybe now we can understand why Gareth didn't resist...
